FAQ
Does this Baofeng UV-5R support both VHF and UHF channels?
Yes. This listing describes the UV-5R as a dual-band handheld radio with VHF and UHF support. Before use, please make sure the channels are programmed correctly and that the other radios in your group are set to compatible frequencies.
Can I use this radio for hiking, camping, or outdoor group trips?
Yes, it is a practical choice for outdoor group communication, especially when mobile phone coverage is weak or calls are inconvenient. We recommend testing the radios before the trip, charging the batteries fully, and agreeing on backup channels with your group.
